The main challenge in Indonesian urban conservation efforts is to determine how changes can meet our current needs without jeopardizing its unique character. Cakranegara, Lombok is one of the towns that have unique character and concept for its spatial organization. This research seeks to define the character of Cakranegara by outlining the spatial city concepts in relation to the physical character based on the socio-cultural and religious principles using questionnaires, mental mapping, visual survey and interviews. Penderita tuberkulosis yang telah selesai pengobatan namun tidak melaksanakan periksa ulang dahak pada fase akhir pengobatan jumlahnya mencapai 117 orang (20% dari total penderita). Pengawas Minum Obat (PMO) mempunyai tugas untuk mengingatkan penderita agar melaksanakan periksa ulang dahak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan peran PMO dengan kepatuhan periksa ulang dahak pada fase akhir pengobatan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah kasus kontrol. Kasus adalah penderita tuberkulosis paru basil tahan asam (BTA) positif berumur > 15 tahun yang telah selesai mendapatkan pengobatan kategori 1 dan tidak melakukan periksa ulang dahak pada bulan kelima atau akhir pengobatan. The article aims to describe the process of social exclusion and inclusion within local government budget (APBD) in Lamongan and Ngawi East Java in 2006-2008, and Makasar South Sulawesi in 2009. Social exclusion was indicated by the absent of public participation in the decision making process. Social exclusion for public local budget appeared in regulation level such as unclear mechanism of public participation and the constraints to access budget documents. This study aims to determine the relationship between local government spending, agricultural productivity, and poverty in Indonesia for the period of 2005-2008. Using econometric models of the panel and panel- simultaneous, this study find the evidence that local government spending on infrastructure and education significantly affect agricultural productivity and poverty. The study also found that the value of multiplier effect of local government spending on poverty, roads is the largest, followed by education (the literacy rate) and irrigation.

Using Logistic Regression and Hedonic Price Model, this study aims to find the social-economic factors influencing the demand and willingness to pay (WTP) for clean water supply and proper sanitation. This study find that education and age of household head are the affecting factors. Also, it found that per capita expenditure affects the availability of access for sanitation and clean water for all household group. WTP for clean water and sanitation in urban is greater than in rural. In additions, WTP of non poor households are greater than poor household, except for urban area.

The stable fluctuation of Rp against the US$ during the free floating exchange rate regime in 2002-2007 raises the existence of fear of floating exchange rate phenomenon in Indonesia. The GARCH method is use to verify this phenomenon. Moreover, Time Varying Parameter and Error Correction Mechanism method shows the economic reason behind the Monetary Authority's response in stabilizing rupiah. Depreciation and increasing volatility of Rupiah raises inflation and bank Non-Performing Loans, while appreciation and increasing volatility of Rupiah, reduce the net export. Konsumsi Energi Dan Pembangunan Ekonomi Di Asia Tenggara, Jahen Fachrul Rezki

Economic development in the South East Asia, which is at the stage of industrialization, has high dependency on energy consumption. This paper examines the relationship between energy consumption and economic development in the region. Using cross-sectional data, this study find the relationship between energy demand and per capita GDP, population and industrial share of output. Oil contributes 80% to energy consumption followed by electricity and natural gas. The result also shows no evidence of relationship between economic crisis and energy consumption. It suggest diversification of energy use and promoting more efficient alternative energy source to increase economic growth.

Over the last decade of Indonesia's fiscal decentralization era, the amount of intergovernmental fiscal transfers has increased substantially. The increase of intergovernmental fiscal transfers is expected to reduce the burden of local economy without sacrificing the quality of public service. This study aims to investigate whether the block grant transfer affect the spending behavior of local government. Program keluarga harapan (PKH) yang berbasis bantuan tunai bersyarat (conditional cash transfers, CCT) di bidang pendidikan dan kesehatan telah diluncurkan Pemerintah Indonesia sejak Juli 2007 di 348 kecamatan dari 48 kabupaten/kota di 7 provinsi, namun dampaknya dalam mengurangi angka kemiskinan dan meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia warga miskin belum pernah dievaluasi. Studi ini mengevaluasi dampak awal PKH terhadap penggunaan layanan kesehatan preventif. Evaluasi ini menggunakan rancangan eksperimen, intervensi program PKH berbasis rumah tangga dengan pengukuran sebelum dan sesudah intervensi pada kelompok perlakuan dan kontrol yang sebelumnya dipilih acak pada tingkat kecamatan.
