Information literacy has been used successfully the world over as a strategy to improve access to information resources that usually cost a lot of money but, due to lack of awareness and skills of utilization, result in low or no usage at all. Most local institutions of higher learning have implemented programs that are either embedded in their curriculum or spontaneous to maximize usage.
