A Script For Archiving Digital Research Data: Improving Accuracy And Efficiency In The Dataverse Network, Erin Crane, Rachel Carriere, Thu-Mai Christian, Cheryl Thompson

My colleagues and I assessed the workflow for data ingest at the Odum Archive at the University of North Carolina. We then made recommendations based on our analysis of the system. This poster discusses the most important recommendation that we gave the staff of the archive. We suggested that they create a script which would automate the steps in the workflow that involve a single point of failure. With the script, the single point of failure remains, but the risk of error has been significantly lessened.
