Abstraction And The Idea Of Sports, Julia Taszycka Aug 2020

Abstraction And The Idea Of Sports, Julia Taszycka

English Language Institute

In both art and sports, abstract behavior is very noticable. During the game players act in a very specific and irrational way. This kind of behavior is cause by different perception and attention to things that don't matter in everyday life. In relation to behavior and perception, the notion of purpose is also very abstract in sports. Sport activities themselves serve no purpose, exactly like artworks. Their meanings exist only in specific context.

The questionnaire included questions related to three different dimensions of constraint: intrapersonal, interpersonal, and structural, as well as subdimensions within the structural constraint. From the data analysis, five different conclusions were drawn: 1) The interpersonal constraint was the most commonly cited constraint. 2) The …

Exploring The Relationships Between Collegiate Sport Coaches’ Creative Productivity And Factors Of Creative Potential, Sean Flanders

Specifically, how personality traits, ideational fluency, remote association ability, years of coaching experience, and work climate related to creative product impact and frequency. Senior Theses

The goal of this thesis is to model the probability of a high school football player’s chance of being drafted based on information taken from their recruiting profile. The independent variables were collected by scraping data from the recruiting websites including height, weight, position, hometown, recruiting grade and other socioeconomic factors based on the player’s high school. 247Sports and ESPN were the two recruiting services used and compared in this study. Because of the binary nature of the dependent variable, logistic regression and decision trees were chosen …
