The current school desegregation crisis in Omaha makes a review of the issues in school desegregation especially relevant. Desegregation first referred to the dismantling of the southern dual school systems. The general principle is that the racial identity of schools should be removed. There should not be 'black' schools or 'white' schools, just schools.
