The purpose of this paper is to investigate the extent of LIS (Library and Information Science) literature referring to and being referred by patents in the form of scholarly citations they attribute and/or receive. The analysis of the present study was done based on a total data-set of 237820 research publications of the LIS discipline ranging from April 1920 to April 2020 (100 years) as mined from the LENS database. This study carried out the scientometric analysis of road traffic accident research in India from 1977 to 2020. It aimed to examine type of publications with their citations and usage, the year wise publication and citation growth, most preferred journals, authors’ preference of keywords used, collaboration of Indian authors, authorship pattern and most prolific authors, and top contributing organizations. During 44 years of study, 1,132 research items were published and indexed in Web of Science (WoS) bibliographic database. The paper analyses the growth pattern of cloud computing literature during 2009-2013 using web of science database. The cumulative publication output of top ten countries and India in the field accounts to 1879 publications. Total number of citations & high quality papers were also calculated. The growth in the publication is studied through Relative Growth Rate and doubling time. The authorship pattern is measured by different collaboration parameters like collaborative index and modified collaborative coefficient.
