The crisis in open access scholarly communications leads to several initiatives promoting the development of open access repositories. It reduces the repetition of research studies by minimising the cost of access and encouraging the reuse of research data. But at the same time, the contributor researchers are also concerned about the long term preservation, meta-descriptions and citation support of their research publication shard in open access repositories. This study presents an overview of the published research in the field of andragogy using bibliometric methods. Scopus database produced a list of 698 manuscripts that were cited 2383 times with an average of 3.41 citations per publication. More than 89% of Scopus-based research on andragogy was published in the English language while 61% of this research was published in form of journal articles. This paper describes about the research productivity of Astronomy and Astrophysics research in India. The study is an investigation of total research productivity of India’s Astronomy and Astrophysics research for the period of thirty years during 1988-2017. Total 20,311 research publication’s bibliographic data were harvested from Web of Science (WoS) bibliographic database and analyzed using scientometric tools and techniques.
