This study evaluates the Applied and Environmental Microbiology Journal (AEMJ). It is a biweekly peer-reviewed scientific journal published by American Society for Microbiology. It was established in 1953 as Applied Microbiology and obtained its current name in 1975. The American Society for Microbiology is the largest single life science, society, composed of over 47,000 scientists and health professionals. ASM's mission is to promote and move forward the microbial sciences.
