Exploring Library Leadership Technology Decision-Making And Support Through The Use Case Of The Institutional Repository, Todd Digby

Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal)

Academic and research libraries are dependent on a wide range of technology and systems to manage access and storage of digital research materials and collections. Content Based Retrieval Of Lecture Video Repository: Literature Review, Arun Adrakatti, K R Mulla Dr.

Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal)

Multimedia has a significant role in communicating the information and a large amount of multimedia repositories make the browsing, retrieval and delivery of video contents. For higher education, using video as a tool for learning and teaching through multimedia application is a considerable promise. Many universities adopt educational systems where the teacher lecture is video recorded and the video lecture is made available to students with minimum post-processing effort. Since each video may cover many subjects, it is critical for an e-Learning environment to have content-based video searching capabilities to meet diverse individual learning needs. The present paper reviewed 120+ …

Every RPO has or should have an institutional repository. As a showcase for what you do especially outputs that are not suitable for publication, they are hard to beat but how many of us extract the full value from them? How many of us treat them as electronic warehouses and never look at them again? In short, how many of us have no idea of how much really know? Repositories store so much more than just full-text articles, they are used to catalogue everything from artworks to zoom logs and everything in between and that breadth represents hidden but real …

Digital Commons Southeastern User Group 2020

One of the best ways to drive traffic to an institutional repository site is by adding links to it from other, established sites. This could be your institutional website – adding links from a departmental page to the department’s scholarly work. Or from your social media platforms to a relevant article corresponding with a topical news event. Another option is Wikipedia. Have you considered leveraging Wikipedia’s astronomical base of users for your own ends? With an average of 200 million+ page views a day, Wikipedia is an excellent resource to drive traffic to your IR.

But HOW can you accomplish …
