Librarians at the University of North Dakota Chester Fritz Library have been promoting the UND Scholarly Commons and open educational resources to faculty, staff, and students on campus. This presentation discusses misconceptions about open access that we have heard during our promotional efforts, how we've addressed them, and what this reveals about broader challenges in promoting open access initiatives.
