Regional autonomy aims to improve the regional economy in order to create a just and prosperous society. However, the reality is that until now the local government still depends on transfer funds from the Central Government. KPK, through the Monitoring Center for Prevention (MCP) program, known as the corruption prevention system, seeks to enable local governments to increase local taxes. Large companies have the financial power to play a price strategy so it can threaten the existence of small companies. In this case, the government implements a minimum price policy to protect small entrepreneurs from unfair price competition. This paper aims to determine the correlation between implementing the minimum price policy and the price strategy in the cigarette industry. Investigating household wealth should also include spatial analysis to capture the influence of location on the households’ net wealth and to avoid underestimation of the effect of the change of variables due to estimation that ignores spatial aspects. The increasing growth of financial system encourages payment system innovation that can affect financial system stability, particularly in ASEAN countries. This study explored a variety of payment system innovation, i.e. debit cards, credit cards, electronic money, and RTGS. The financial system stability index is measured by calculating the composite indexes of non-performing loans, Z-score from ROA and CAR, share price volatility, and yield bonds. This paper investigates the relationship between economic growth and CO2 emissions from 1994 to 2018 using a panel approach from eight ASEAN countries. We found an established result using the Panel ARDL Pooled Mean Group method. First, the panel Cointegration analysis shows a significant long-term relationship between GDP and CO2 emissions. Second, the error correction mechanism shows a stable and consistent value. Third, we found that GDP has a significant long-term effect on CO2 emissions in ASEAN countries. This study aims to assess the impact of road and port infrastructure quality of Indonesia and its trade partners, on Indonesia’s export performance in total as well as on three commodity groups, consisting of mineral, base metals, and manufactured products. Using the Gravity Model with panel data from bilateral export value with 18 largest trade partners in 2007 to 2018, this study found that the proxy of transportation infrastructure quality of both countries are significant and positively impact Indonesia’s total export performance. This study was conducted to analyze the effect of international mass media sentiment on macroeconomic indicators in five ASEAN countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and Brunei Darussalam. The purpose of this study is to develop a macroeconomic forecast model based on the analysis of macroeconomic indices and international sentiment that combines GDELT and World Development Indicators (WDI) data. The implementation of decentralization should have a positive impact on regional progress. Since its implementation in 2001, decentralization in Indonesia has become deeper and wider. Using the slum settlement policy as a study approach, this study will examine the impact of decentralization and how persistent these impacts are. The output per worker of Indonesia has been on a downtrend since 2010, with total factor productivity (TFP) and capital stock largely stagnant if not declining. This paper discusses stylized facts that may explain recent trends in the productivity and growth potential of Indonesia. The decomposition of output per worker reveals the declining contribution of human capital, which is also most negative among peer countries. The growth in labor productivity has been concentrated within sectors, implying room for gains from labor reallocations. This study seeks to contribute to the emerging debate regarding the effects of financial inclusion and openness on banking stability. Panel data from 217 developing and developed countries from 2004 to 2017 showed that financial inclusion did not affect banking stability. However, financial openness significantly affected banking stability in all countries worldwide. This study provides empirical findings on the relationship between deforestation and income in 32 provinces in Indonesia. To enrich the discussion on deforestation, this study investigates the impact of the factors of population, roundwood production, land area, and main crop production on deforestation. The selected main crops in Indonesia are oil palm, coffee, coconut, rubber, and cacao. The results confirm the existence of the EKC relationship between deforestation and income in Indonesia. The study also finds that oil palm production positively affects tree cover loss, but the production of natural rubber has the opposite impact on deforestation.

Theoretically, human capital plays an important role in economic growth. In West Kalimantan, the government increase the education investment to improve human capital. This study aims to estimate the rate of return of education investment in West Kalimantan Province, Pontianak and Singkawang District. SAKERNAS 2018 individual data was analyzed using the Mincer Model and the Heckman’s Two-step procedure.
