This Report summarizes the progress and activities of the Tennessee Innovation Group during the period of May 1980 through July 1981. This Sample Code has been drafted as a working document for the cities and towns of Tennessee. It is prepared in a format which is readily and adaptable to the conditions and requirements of any particular community. However, attention should be given to the provisions that must conform to individual municipal charter requirements such as prescribed language for ordaining clauses, number of readings for ordinances, etc. The Sample Code may be used as a basis for drafting a complete code of ordinances or a single ordinance addressing a particular need.
