Tuberculosis (TB) in Indonesia is still a health problem. The TB prevalence in Indonesia ranks second in the world after India in 2023. Regional factors, inadequate healthcare facilities, and limited resources (financial, human, and infrastructure) are challenges requiring innovation to help the government control TB. Indonesia finds tax amnesty as a reliable funding alternative to develop a sustainable economy. Since 1964, Indonesia has implemented five tax amnesty programs. The latest two programs would offer lower amnesty compensation rates if taxpayers repatriated offshore assets back to Indonesia. However, the tax amnesty repatriation policy merely contributed minimal amounts of repatriated assets and low number of participants. Consequently, it failed to raise sufficient liquidity, fiscal revenues, tax compliance and economic growth. This article explores the phenomenon of quasi-civilianisation, or the inclusion of former or active-duty military officers in civilian administrative positions, in maritime security governance in Indonesia. To what extent is the maritime sector quasi-civilianised? Second, what are the pathways to quasi-civilianisation in the maritime sector? This paper finds that quasi-civilians tend to be concentrated in paramilitary agencies and to a lesser extent, in limited functional roles within the civilian administration. Quasi-civilians are desirable for these positions due to their expertise and ability to mediate between military and civilian counterparts. Political affiliation has been reported as a determinant of COVID-19 vaccine acceptance in some countries, although few studies have examined the Asian context. This study aims to fill this gap by employing an ecological study design using Indonesian regions as data points. Political affiliation was represented by incumbent President Jokowi’s vote share in the 2019 presidential election. Potential confounders included population density, human development index, availability of hospitals and primary health care, 2019–2020 economic growth, COVID-19 mortality rate, and proportion of Muslims in the population. Obesity and asthma are both global public health challenges. Mounting evidence suggests that obesity may increase asthma risk in adults; however, the association by sex remains uncertain. This study examined the association of obesity with asthma risk in Indonesian adult men and women. Data were obtained from the 2018 Indonesia Basic Health Research. The analysis included 299,837 men and 333,218 women aged ≥18 years. Asthma was identified by the self-report of a doctor’s diagnosis. Obesity was defined as a body mass index ≥30 kg/m2. Health facilities are experiencing overcapacity, oxygen scarcity, and a limited number of healthcare providers due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), thus impacted on anxiety. This study aimed to determine predictors of anxiety among healthcare providers toward the Delta variant of COVID-19 in Indonesia. A cross-sectional study was conducted with 371 healthcare providers in Java and Bali Islands, and the snowball sampling technique was used. This study views how road infrastructure development affects crime in rural Indonesia. The issuance of Law No. 6 of 2014 concerning Villages create massive road infrastructure development to develop villages economy. However, it also create negative externality, which is crime. Using logistic regression model, this study analyzes Village Potential data for 2006-2018 in Indonesia. The results show that road infrastructure development’s accompanied by crime opportunity increase of 1.3-1.5 times higher in rural Indonesia. After massive development, it indicates economic increase and crime decrease in remote villages. This finding supports literatures about road infrastructure and accessibility can provide opportunities for crime.

The COVID-19 pandemic, originated in China, has spread to worldwide, including Indonesia. Until July 2021, the growth rate has been gradually increasing, and cases have been found in all 34 provinces of Indonesia. This cross-sectional study aimed to investigate the knowledge, attitude, and practices (KAP) of health personnel in the primary health care towards the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia using online self-report questionnaire. Pre-lacteal feeding is widely known as a distraction to exclusive breastfeeding, and the malpractice continues to be prevalent in Indonesia. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the potential determinants of pre-lacteal feeding among mothers of infants below 24 months. A sample of 6,455 mother-infant pairs from the 2017 Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) was used. Also, multivariate logistic regression was employed to identify factors associated with pre-lacteal feeding practice. Frequent inter-spousal communication is regarded as an indicator of safe family planning practice. Nevertheless, communication about family planning within couples in Indonesia is still largely unexplored. This study assessed the levels of inter-spousal communication about family planning and its associated determinants, using cross-sectional and nationally representative data from the 2017 Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS), from a randomly selected cohort of 8,925 currently-married couples. The midwives play an important role in advocating for voluntary counseling and testing (VCT) uptake among pregnant women during ANC. This study aimed to analyse the relationship between FDI firms with energy intensity in Indonesian manufacturing industry and its sub-sector. The data used are from the Manufacturing Industry Survey obtained from the Central Statistiks Agency (BPS) with observation period 2007-2015. The model in this study were estimated used the fixed effect estimation method. Estimation results from the model showed FDI firms tend to have a negatifly correlated to the energy intensity that mean there is a decrease in energy intensity which indicates energy efficiency. The study aims to investigate the relationship between leverage on firms' opportunities to participate in export markets at the levels of aggregate sectors and subsectors of manufacturing of Indonesia by using Industry Survey data published by Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) for the period 2007 - 2015. This article examines whether reform forest governance in Indonesia started in the 1990s, which was partially aimed to promote equity, participation and sustainable forest management, has delivered its promised consequences. In the New Order era, the central government had sole authority in managing forests and granting exploitation rights. This authority has been partially transferred to local governments during a decentralization process to achieve greater efficiency and equity. Even though Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) program has been running in Indonesia since 2006, the proportion of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-infected pregnant women remains high in some districts in Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan komposit indeks kesehatan ibu, indeks kesehatan bayi dan untuk menelaah pengaruh kehamilan remaja terhadap kesehatan ibu dan bayi. Penelitian ini menggunakan data Survei Demografi Kesehatan Indonesia tahun 2012, dengan sampel 2.167 responden yang memenuhi syarat inklusi (wanita usia subur yang pernah melahirkan anak pertama sejak Januari 2007 sampai survei dilaksanakan).
