Anorexia Nervosa can be a detrimental and severe disorder, as it results in death for 5- 10% of the patients who are in treatment. Practitioners and researchers have spent much effort researching treatments for Anorexia Nervosa, but the results lack effective outcomes. A common complaint among practitioners is that research does not apply to their clients. Evidence Based Practice states that treatment options for psychologists should not only include the research, but also the intuition of the psychologist and the diversity of the client.
