The United States in the present day has experienced a rise of both incredibly productive automated technologies, approaching self-perpetuation, and fascism, entering and affecting significant social institutions. This paper aims to explain these phenomenon with the Marxist mechanics of the historical dialectic, conceptions of abstraction and material, and the behavior of capital – among other modes of production – and predict the broader development that is oncoming. This article intends to delineate the policy of the supervision system, which is a sub-system of the Turkish education system, for the years 1980-2021, through policy analysis. A systematic literature review (SLR) analyzed the research findings of 44 studies. The findings of the study were categorized according to four main themes that Eranıl (2021) pinpointed as the critical periods in the history of the Turkish education system. Critical periods were classified as a post-coup period: (1980-1997), compulsory eight-year education period: (1997-2005), constructivist period: (2005-2012), 4 + 4 + 4 education system period: (2012 and later). This thesis examines territorial authoritarian threats to the Western world through an examination of historical and contemporary case studies. The historical examples used in this thesis are fromEastern Europe, since it had many chances to engage in international law with the authoritarian state, leading its people to understand the nature of one of the oldest authoritarian states: Russia. This thesis studies the discourse of food sovereignty in Maine, a coalition of small-scale farmers, consumers, and citizens building an alternative food system based on a distributed form of production, processing, selling, purchasing, and consumption. This distribution occurs at the municipal level through the enactment of ordinances. Using critical-rhetorical field methods, I argue that the discourse of food sovereignty in Maine develops a ‘constitutive’ rhetoric that composes rural society through affective relationships. Advocates engage the industrial food system to both expose its systemic bias against small-scale farming and construct their own discourse of belonging. Based upon agrarian values such as …

The thesis covers an in-depth analysis of the internal operations of the Egyptian military and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp. In light of recent rebellions in Egypt and Iran, the paper will examine how the security, economic, and political role of these two institutions has led to Egypt’s betrayal of President Mubarak, and the IRGC’s loyalty to the Iranian leadership. The role of these two institutions will be investigated using Steven Johnson’s Emergence Theory. In using Johnson’s theory, this thesis will aim to uncover the function, performance, and system of two institutions that have become autonomous within their respective state.

The focus of this paper is to test for evidence of technical and scale efficiency in the commercial banking sector in Malaysia. In this context, the study attempts to evaluate if there are any differences between the efficiency of domestic and foreign owned Malaysian banks by applying the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The result indicates that Malaysian commercial banks did not efficiently combine their inputs and that technical inefficiency was attributed to scale inefficiency.

The steady decline of participation in many areas of public life suggests that we may be overlooking power as not only a source of the problem, but also as a critical part of the solution. Leslie Hill argues that to revive concepts of citizenship and democratic participation enshrined in the language of the nation's founding, we ought to rethink conventional ideas about power as control and domination and, in the alternative, view power as interaction.
