A phenomenological study within the gaming industry is currently being conducted to determine influential indicators within business operations. Based on interviews of executive leadership at global companies, participants disclosed the environmental developments at their organization based on industry norms and the ability to develop/execute environmental initiatives. Four themes emerged: the leader’s ideology and the political climate; the company’s founding principles; support from the industry and/or within the company; and the ability to change industry dynamics. Work-Family Conflict And Job Satisfaction On Youth Dealers: The Moderating Roles Of Work Stress, Jinquan Zhou

International Conference on Gambling & Risk Taking

Work-family conflict was generally considered a negative effect on young employees’ job satisfaction especially for some jobs with high work stress. In this paper, we examined Macau youth dealers’ balance of work and family through the evidence among work-family conflict, work stress and job satisfaction using a survey with 450 questionnaires. The results revealed that the work-family conflict had a positive effect on work stress and turnover intention. Especial finding in this paper was not online with outcomes from major researches that there was no significant relationship between job satisfaction and work-family conflict. Visual Management and the Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) Cycle are well known Lean methods. The Student Process Improvement Coordinators in the Office of Continuous Improvement at Michigan Technological University use white boards to track progress on recurring performance duties.These boards cover multiple areas of work and showcase how many students with different schedules keep track of their workload within the office. Student retention and success is a complex issue, with many factors that impact an individual student’s retention and these factors varying across all of our students. At the University of Southern Indiana (USI), efforts within engineering, as well as across the college and university, have included intentional academic support services (such as expanded advising and tutoring services) and student development programs and extracurricular activities to foster student communities and a student’s sense of belonging. From Adapting To Adoption: Social Media Use By Small-To-Medium Sized Nonprofit Organizations, Ming Xie

This exploratory research focuses on small-to-medium-sized nonprofit organizations’ social media use. In-depth interviews with nonprofit leaders helped to understand their perceptions of social media in order to explain why nonprofit organizations and their leaders decide to adopt and use social media, the strategies developed for doing so, and the barriers encountered in the adoption/utilization processes. It finds that most of the leaders of small-to-medium sized organizations see social media as a supplementary way for organizational activities, with limited visions of how to use social media to engage with the constituencies and to advance their organizational goals.
