Background: The purpose of this study was to present possibilities of using computer tests in the assessment of chosen cognitive skills and an analysis of correlations between the mentioned variables and the level of optimism, self-efficacy, coping strategies, anxiety and perceived stress in Polish national team rowers. Material and methods: The study involved 20 rowers. Cognitive abilities were measured with the following computer tests: the Reaction Test (RT) and the Determination Test (DT) taken from the Vienna Test System (VTS). The Role Of Selected Intrapsychic Factors In Alpine Skiing Instruction, Krzysztof Makowski, Piotr Aschenbrenner, Bartosz Krawczynski

Background: This research was aimed at describing the influence of selected intrapsychic factors related to “low” and “high” mountain conditions upon the efficiency of alpine skiing instruction. Material/Methods: Research participants were 48 people without skiing skills. Altitudes from 770 to 1,741 metres above sea level were chosen for “high” groups. A STAI questionnaire was chosen in order to carry out the research. The skiing level achieved by the end of the instruction was assessed expertly with the three essential evolutions, i.e. ploughing curves, slanting slide, and half-ploughing turn, taken into consideration. Background: Psychological resilience is the adaptation of individual in the face of negative situations and the ability to fight these situations. Since university life has an anxious and stressful feature, university students are considered as a risk group in terms of psychological resilience. Purpose of research is to examine relationship between psychological resilience levels and anxiety levels of university students and making comparisons in terms of physical activity levels, gender and academic achievement.
