The article reports that the Digital Library of Georgia (DLG) offers a sub grant program providing institutions in services to create a digital collection. Topics include DLG staff promote the new collections on social media, and all produced content is accessible online for free; and the life cycle of the subgranting program, using UGA's Law School's Lecture & Presentation Photograph Archive of the digitization project.

After six years of digitization, metadata, and web-development, the Open Parks Network repository is online to celebrate the National Park Service Centennial. We have campfire stories to share on lessons learned from a rocky trail, which will help other institutions steer clear of hidden obstacles and persevere through tough projects.

In November 2014, the Kankakee Area Library Association (KALA), a small, multi-type library organization, hosted a well-known motivational speaker. The event drew from around the state and was primarily funded through support from Reaching Across Illinois Library System (RAILS). Learn how volunteers from school, public and academic libraries leverage local expertise for ongoing professional development and programming, such as One Book, One Community, as well as how we hosted a larger event. The recent economic downturn has affected businesses and educational organizations. Funding for higher education institutions from federal, state and private sectors is shrinking and even disappearing. We have to think of something else to acquire the funds we need to enhance library services. In this article, we share our success story on how the Lawrence V. Johnson Library at Southern Polytechnic State University received a grant to fund our Web-Scale Discovery Service.
