Bangladesh is trying to achieve Smart Bangladesh Vision 2041 to put the country on a new, sustainable path of growth while also serving as a role model for other developing nations. With that goal in mind, the government is trying to introduce e-governance services in every government sector. This study looks into user perspectives, obstacles, and suggestions for offering e-governance services through libraries and information centers. A proposed e-governance service delivery model for public libraries is also presented in this paper.

This study investigates the attitudes, perceptions and practices of pleasure reading among the undergraduate and graduate students of Dhaka University. Undergraduate and Graduate students under three major faculties i.e. Arts and Social Sciences; Business Studies; and Science, Engineering & Technology have been selected to participate in this survey. A total of 300 questionnaires have been distributed among the interested participants and the libraries of the concerned faculties were selected for selecting respondents randomly. The study explores the ICT usage and computer skills of Library and Information Science (LIS) students in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The main objective of the study is to assess the potentials and challenges faced by LIS students in e-learning. The researchers used survey method with a structured questionnaire, involving 209 participants from two leading public universities (University of Dhaka (DU) and Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) in Bangladesh.
