Batchloading Serials And Other E-Resources: An Introductory Workshop, Bonnie Parks

OLAC Conferences

Electronic resources are now a key component of many libraries. We have long known that catalog records for individual resources facilitate discovery and access. However, as libraries continue to increase their acquisition of electronic resources by purchasing packages of serials, ebooks, and streaming media content, cataloging individual titles isn’t always a possibility. You've found yourself playing a leadership role in cataloging, or would like to pursue a leadership role. Many of us come to this point in our careers because we've been good catalogers -- we know our subject area, we're on top of the standards.
