Credit distribution has developed rapidly in the ASEAN region and it is largely dominated by the banking sector compared to other financial institutions. This study explores the effects of various changes to the GDP growth regime, firm size, and monetary policy. The objects of this research are commercial banks in ASEAN-5 from year 2010 to 2019. This study was conducted to analyze the effect of international mass media sentiment on macroeconomic indicators in five ASEAN countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and Brunei Darussalam. The purpose of this study is to develop a macroeconomic forecast model based on the analysis of macroeconomic indices and international sentiment that combines GDELT and World Development Indicators (WDI) data. The research result states that each economic index variable has a correlation with the news sentiment variable. Asian’s financial crisis in 1997/1998 is a crisis that caused by exchange rate change which is contagious from one to another country. By having an active regional financial cooperation, this crisis can be prevented better. In the context of regional coordination, it is important to know the impact of exchange rate on inflation, whether it has a homogenous or heterogenous impact across ASEAN countries. By forming data panel of ASEAN-5, using broadmoney, trade openness and trading partner inflation rate as control variable with FGLS Estimator, it is known that the impact of exchange rate on Inflation in ASEAN-5 is heterogeneous.

This study aims to examine the contagion effect of the Argentinian and Turkish crises to Asian countries using the DCC-MGARCH model. The data used is the daily closing price index of the stock index obtained from Thomson Reuters DataStream covering form the period of January 2, 2014 to May 17, 2019. The results showed that the contagion effect of the Argentinian crisis occurred in Malaysia, Korea, Thailand and the Philippines, while Indonesia, Singapore, India and China are only interdependence. Pola Perdagangan Global Pada Perusahaan-Perusahaan Berteknologi Tinggi, Dyah Wulan Sari, Wenny Restikasari

This study deals with firm level data of Indonesian high-tech manufacturing industries to determine firm’s production, especially among global trade variables, such as export intensity, vertical trade integration, and two-way trade. This study employs a generalized method of moments (GMM) approach to examine the most important factors of a global trade phenomenon. In the full-sample, the result demonstrates that vertical trade integration and two-way trade are significant determinants on firm’s production while export intensity is not. In ordinary trader sub-sample, export intensity is a significant determinant of firm’s production, whereas in vertical trader sub-sample export intensity is not.

Keterkaitan Spasial Di Enam Negara Asia: Analisis Input-Output Dunia, M. Muchdie, M. Handry Imansyah, Socia Prihawantoro

This paper presents spatial linkages on calculations of spill-over and feed-back effects of World input-output tables, which is aggregated specifically into six-Asian countries includes China, Indonesia, India, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, plus Australia, United States, and the Rest of the World. The results showed that, firstly output multipliers in six Asian countries tend to increase during 2000–2014, indicating a consistent economic growth. Secondly, except China, output multipliers occurred in other countries tend to increase. Thirdly, in 2000, the United States and Japan were two countries receiving highest output spill-over. However, in year 2014, most of output spill-over moved to China. …
