The Marian Library at the University of Dayton is a special library documenting the Blessed Virgin Mary. This poster outlines a hands-on primary source literacy session for the course, Social History of the Later Middle Ages. Students used Books of Hours (Medieval devotional books centered on a series of prayers to the Blessed Virgin Mary) as part of a session that introduced them to special collections resources while tying in with course themes on medieval history.
