This study sought to investigate the availability and utilization of e-resources in university libraries for effective research output by undergraduates of Social Studies in south-east, Nigeria. It is a descriptive survey research design. two research questions guided the study. A sample of 191 students from four stratified randomly selected universities in south east, Nigeria, were used for the study. The instrument for data collection is the researcher’s designed and validated questionnaire, tagged: ‘The Use of E-Resources in University Libraries Questionnaire’ (UERULQ). The ubiquitous nature of EIRs has made possession of retrieval skills by undergraduates imperative for effective information search and retrieval. This study investigated the influence of information retrieval skills on use of EIRs by undergraduates in University of Uyo, Nigeria. Descriptive survey research design was used. The population consisted of 34,301 undergraduates. Purposive sampling technique was adopted and a sampling fraction of 5% was used to select the sample size of 212.
