This study investigated the combined correlational effects of motivation, emotional intelligence and human capital development on the job satisfaction of librarians in Nigerian public universities. A correlational survey research design was adopted. The study population consisted of 1,254 librarians in public university libraries in Nigeria, from which 923 were selected using simple random sampling. The research instrument used was a self-developed questionnaire. A response rate of 67.2% was achieved. Data were analysed using descriptive (percentage, mean, average mean and standard deviation) and inferential (ANOVA) statistics. Raising Leaders: Parental Leadership Modeling And Parental Attachment, M. Shane Stillman

The objective of this research was to determine to what extent parental leadership modeling and parental attachment relate to leader courage, self-esteem, and emotional intelligence? Participants (29 men and 21 women) were selected from varying backgrounds and experiences to measure the effects of parental modeling and attachment as a matter of a leader’s life-story. Survey instruments included the MLQ-5X, RAAS, PCMS-15, RSES, and WLEIS-16. Results were analyzed using multiple regression and descriptive statistics. Background: Leaders with high levels of emotional intelligence have been associated with transformational leadership styles, which have been found to directly impact leader effectiveness.
