Universities are knowledge-based organisations. They are using knowledge as a key resource and for competitive advantage. Knowledge management practices seems to be suitable for universities because they possess the conducive environment and systems. Grade retention, otherwise known as “failing” or “being held back”, is a common practice for schools when they feel a student is not performing at or meeting school standards. While grade retention is a popular practice, very little research supports the use of it as an effective intervention over other interventions (Jimerson, 2001). Knowledge And Practices On Family Development Of 4ps Beneficiaries In Camarines Sur, Philippines, Stanley O. Dy

The study assessed the knowledge and practices on family development among the 4Ps beneficiaries in Camarines Sur. Research methods employed were survey, KIIs, and review of secondary data. The data gathered from the 169 randomly selected respondents were analyzed through descriptive statistics, particularly frequency, percentage, and mean. Most topics discussed during family development sessions relate to disaster risk reduction and management, according to 27% of the respondents. Other topics were on fire, gardening, barangay improvement, community, and nutrition. Almost all respondents indicated that the family development sessions (e.g., proper parenting) are effective, relevant, interesting, and are easy to apply. They …

As school counselors have adapted to changing policy and social structures, their beliefs, knowledge, and practices have evolved. Over the past two decades, a body of survey research has examined school counselors’ beliefs, knowledge, and practices, though no systematic review exists. In this review, we synthesize and evaluate survey research on the knowledge, beliefs, and practices relevant to the implementation of a standards-based comprehensive school counseling model in the United States. We identify the most salient findings, evaluate the research, identify the most rigorous studies, discuss their findings, and provide recommendations for future research. Films have forever changed the way in which humans perceive reality and have provided significant opportunities to spread knowledge in ways that are both entertaining and deceptive. Uncovering the lost knowledge of the imagination shifts an individual’s perceptions of a shared experience and exposes film’s persuasive power to penetrate the psyche. This paper explores the constitutions of reality and how humans are able to tap into other realms of consciousness through mediums of creative expression.
