Education in the correctional environment is endorsed as an effective rehabilitative tool linked to reducing recidivism and improving reintegration. Unfortunately, while researchers from the Global North are particularly active on the subject of the accessibility of digital education in corrections, the same cannot be said for the Global South. Of further concern is that few of the studies conducted have focused specifically on incarcerated women’s access to education. As discussed in the literature review to follow, research regarding higher education in corrections has the potential for expanding academics, stakeholders, and policy makers understanding of incarcerated students’ pathways towards education attainment. …

Plot Yourself: An Audience Analysis Activity Modified For Online Learning, Dakota Horn, Shannon Sandoval, Cameron Horn
Communication and Theater Association of Minnesota Journal
This activity allows students to become visual depictions during audience analysis. The activity can be used in a face-to-face or online delivery, and also used as a post-assessment. The activity uses an interactive Google Sheet to replicate the act of moving around the classroom and provides an active approach to audience analysis. This active approach creates a bonding experience for students to begin exploring audience members’ knowledge and interest in topics to examine what it means to analyze an audience.

هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى مستوى الدعم الاجتماعي لدى طلبة مساقات الجمباز في كلية التربية الرياضية في جامعة اليرموك، اعتمدت الدراسة على الأسلوب الوصفي المسحي، وتم تطبيق الاستبانة على عينة عشوائية بلغت (80) طالباً وطالبة من طلبة مساقات الجمباز مستوى (تعليم وتدريب1+2). أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن مستوى المساندة الاجتماعية لدى طلبة كلية التربية الرياضية جاء مرتفعاً، حيث أن المتوسطات الحسابية لجميع مجالات مقياس المساندة الاجتماعية جاءت بدرجة تقييم مرتفعة، حيث جاء بالمرتبة الأولى مجال المساندة من قبل الزملاء، وبالمرتبة الثانية مجال "المساندة من مدرسين مساقات الجمباز، وبالمرتبة الثالثة والأخيرة جاء مجال "المساندة من الأسرة، وكشفت الدراسة عدم وجود فروق إحصائية في …

The Qualitative Report
This study commenced as part of a more extensive narrative inquiry about a literacy coach building relationships with two early-career sixth-grade English language arts teachers. The more extensive study revealed a gap in research about the teachers' beliefs and practices and their impact on their students' academic and emotional success. The research questions are: (1) in what ways do two teachers' beliefs and professional knowledge influence their teaching philosophies? (2) How do these teachers' identities influence student outcomes? The two teacher participants took part in interviews, observations, and reflections. Food insecurity is a prevalent issue throughout the United States, the state of Oklahoma, and on Oklahoma State University’s (OSU) Stillwater campus. Research has shown that college and university students tend to be more food insecure than national population averages and Stillwater’s food insecurity rates have been even higher. Mobile food pantries (MFP) generally have been effective in addressing food insecurity, but few studies have investigated their use to alleviate food insecurity among college students. Our Daily Bread Food and Resource Center (ODB) in Stillwater implemented an MFP on OSU’s campus. The present study surveyed students who utilized the MFP …
