This study intended to examine the relationship between cognitive hardiness against life stresses and coping styles with an emphasis on gender differences. A descriptive research method was used. The population is comprised of teachers from different educational are as of Tehran, Iran.There were 141 subjects:41 males and 100 females. We used the following questionnaires: Stressful Life Events Screening Questionnaire (SLESQ), Coping Inventory for Stressful Situations (CISS), General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-28) and Ahvaz Hardiness Inventory(AHI). For data analysis, the Pearson correlation test, independent t-test, and multiple regression analysis were performed.
