Fundamental Rights Not So Fundamental? Critique Of The Supreme Court Judgment In Law Association Of Zambia V. The Attorney General, Muna B. Ndulo, Samuel Ngure Ndungu

The article discusses the constitutionality of sections 5 and 6 of the Public Order Act of Zambia. The Law Association of Zambia had unsuccessfully argued in the High Court of Zambia that the sections violated section 20 (Freedom of expression) and 21 (Freedom of assembly) of the Zambian Constitution. The Supreme Court of Zambia upheld the decision of the High Court and held that the sections did not violate sections 20 and 21 of the constitution and were constitutional. This paper analyzes micro-level dynamics of changes in ownership structures. It investigates a unique event: changes in ownership patterns currently taking place in Brazil. It builds upon empirical evidence to advance theoretical understanding of how and why concentrated ownership structures can change towards dispersed ownership.

Commentators argue that the Brazilian capital markets are finally taking off. The number of listed companies and IPOs in the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa) has greatly increased. Foreign Experiences Toward The Development Of A National Legal Information Center, Claire M. Germain

This comparative study discusses whether selected foreign countries--Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany--have a history of a movement toward the establishment of a national information center. The author examines the development of existing law libraries and libraries with large legal collections, analyzes the role played by the national library of each country, and describes some cooperative accomplishments at the regional and national level. Comparisons are drawn with what is expected of a national legal information center in the United States.
