This article explores the cross-cultural collective interviews and focus groups methods developed and adapted during the a fieldwork among Maya indigenous communities in Chiapas, Mexico. The author reviews the challenges and advantages of adopting such culturally intelligent methods focusing on the promotion of justice and reconciliation among indigenous communities in conflict.
