" Ditto " is an initiative of the School of Art and design's Centre for the Printed Image (CPI) which was formed to coordinate research activities in photographic, digital and autographic print processes. The exhibition exhibited demonstrated some of the relationships of printed image to individual research interests as well as the multiplicity of techniques and print media now available.

This survey exhibition, initially developed as three shows by the Contemporary Art Centre of South Australia will be shown in its entirety for the first time as part of the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts' 2005 exhibition program. Jacky Redgate teaches in the Faculty of Creative Arts at the University of Wollongong. Originally from Adelaide, she has been exhibiting since 1979, working across photography and sculpture. Redgate is fascinated with how spaces operate. This work is a detail from her recent solo exhibition 'Visions From Her Bed' at the IMA Brisbane. Enlarged family portrait photographs from the late nineteenth century are juxtaposed with solids/sculptures. The artistic director of Australia's biggest ever contemporary art exhibition (the 1982 Sydney Biennale) curates a special show for Sydney's smallest art venue, the Virginia Wilson Art office on Darley Street in Darlinghurst. Virginia Wilson asked William Wright to curate an end of year show for her small space in Darlinghurst, a request he responded to with alacrity. Up to 30 artists have agreed to produce a work for the exhibition, adhering to Bill's criteria of black and no more than 10" in any dimension.
