Computing Multivariate Process Capability Indices (Excel), Michele Scagliarini, Raffaele Vermiglio May 2008

Computing Multivariate Process Capability Indices (Excel), Michele Scagliarini, Raffaele Vermiglio

Journal of Modern Applied Statistical Methods

In manufacturing industry there is growing interest in measures of process capability under multivariate setting. Although there are many statistical packages to assess univariate capability, a current problem with the multivariate measures of capability is the shortage of user friendly software. In this article a Visual Basic program has been developed to realize an Excel spreadsheet that may be used to compute two multivariate measures of capability. The aim of this article is to provide a useful tool for practitioners dealing with multivariate capability assessment problems. The features of the program include easy data entry and clear report format.

Jmasm17: An Algorithm And Code For Computing Exact Critical Values For Friedman’S Nonparametric Anova, Sikha Bagui, Sbuhash Bagui May 2005

Jmasm17: An Algorithm And Code For Computing Exact Critical Values For Friedman’S Nonparametric Anova, Sikha Bagui, Sbuhash Bagui

Journal of Modern Applied Statistical Methods

Provided in this article is an algorithm and code for computing exact critical values (or percentiles) for Friedman’s nonparametric rank test for k related treatment populations using Visual Basic (VB.NET). This program has the ability to calculate critical values for any number of treatment populations ( k ) and block sizes (b) at any significance level (α ) . We developed an exact critical value table for k = 2(1)5 and b = 2(1)15. This table will be useful to practitioners since it is not available in standard nonparametric statistics texts. The program can also be used to compute any …

A Program For Generating All Permutations Of {1, 2, ..., N}, Robert Disario Nov 2002

A Program For Generating All Permutations Of {1, 2, ..., N}, Robert Disario

Journal of Modern Applied Statistical Methods

A Visual Basic program that generates all permutations of {1, 2, ..., n} is presented. The procedure for running the program as an Excel macro is described. An application is presented which involves selecting permutations which meet a specific constraint.

Generation Of Combinations Using Excel, Constantine Stamatopoulos May 2002

Generation Of Combinations Using Excel, Constantine Stamatopoulos

Journal of Modern Applied Statistical Methods

Theoretical development of combinations via enumeration methods are considered. An Excel macro is provided.
