This paper discusses online power‐aware routing in large wireless ad hoc networks (especially sensor networks) for applications in which the message sequence is not known. We seek to optimize the lifetime of the network. We show that online power‐aware routing does not have a constant competitive ratio to the off‐line optimal algorithm. We develop an approximation algorithm called max–min zPmin that has a good empirical competitive ratio. To ensure scalability, we introduce a second online algorithm for power‐aware routing. We present a possible mechanism for the saturation of the velocity of photoinjected charge carriers in pure organic crystals, the analysis having been motivated by observations in pentacene. The mechanism is based on the strong wave vector dependence of the damping coefficient appearing in the appropriate effective mass equation. Our primary goal is to explore this mechanism in general terms rather than to apply it to a specific system such as pentacene. Our analysis is based on a Fokker-Planck equation treatment. In electric arc furnace steelmaking units, the essential parameters that considered important are reducing price, increasing production and decreasing environmental pollution. Electric arc furnaces are the largest users of electric energy in industry. The most important techniques that can be used to reduce the electric energy consumption in electric arc furnaces are scrap preheating, stirring, use of burners and hot charge and foamy slag.
Between these methods, use of foamy slag is the most useful and economic factor. Foamy slag can reduce the amount of energy, electrods, refractory consumption, tap to tap time and increases productivity. In this research, method …
