The past decade has witnessed a surge of cryptocurrencies such as bitcoins, litecoin, dogecoin, peercoin, bitcoin being the most popular amongst them. Enthusiasts and skeptics have debated and come up with disparate opinions to contest both the success and failures of such currencies.
