Ocena Wielkości Emisji Do Powietrza Z Arcelormittal Poland S.A. Oddział W Krakowie W Odniesieniu Do Standardów Unii Europejskiej, Marian Mazur, Marek Bogacki, Robert Oleniacz Oct 2008

Ocena Wielkości Emisji Do Powietrza Z Arcelormittal Poland S.A. Oddział W Krakowie W Odniesieniu Do Standardów Unii Europejskiej, Marian Mazur, Marek Bogacki, Robert Oleniacz

Robert Oleniacz

The work presents emission factors of main air pollutants for installations of ArcelorMittal Poland S.A. Unit in Krakow (Poland) in comparison with analogous characteristic emissions for iron and steel industry in West Europe. In the comparison four installations (to coke, sinter, pig iron and steel production) were taken into consideration. The emission rates from ArcelorMittal Poland S.A. Unit in Krakow were estimated on the basis of the emission levels and production data from 2004, when took place the most significant production of liquid steel during last several years. As a result of the analysis, most the emission factors (with the …

Assessment Of Ecological Effects Of The Implementation Of Continuous Casting Of Steel, Marian Mazur, Marek Bogacki, Robert Oleniacz, Agnieszka Łopata Jun 2003

Assessment Of Ecological Effects Of The Implementation Of Continuous Casting Of Steel, Marian Mazur, Marek Bogacki, Robert Oleniacz, Agnieszka Łopata

Robert Oleniacz

The article presents a complex analysis of the impact of the technology of continuous casting of steel (CCS) on the rate of the air pollutant emissions from one of the Polish steel and iron plants. The emission sources occurring in the production process have been identified and their rate has been determined. The implementation of CCS has brought about significant changes in the production cycle of the steel plant and it also has caused an increase of the production effectiveness of steel products. The calculated environment effects have shown a considerable emission decrease of all pollutants in the scale of …

Wpływ Wprowadzenia Ciągłego Odlewania Stali Na Wielkość Emisji Zanieczyszczeń Z Huty Katowice, Marian Mazur, Marek Bogacki, Robert Oleniacz Oct 2000

Wpływ Wprowadzenia Ciągłego Odlewania Stali Na Wielkość Emisji Zanieczyszczeń Z Huty Katowice, Marian Mazur, Marek Bogacki, Robert Oleniacz

Robert Oleniacz

The paper presents the results of research carried out in 1999 in the Department of Continuous Casting of Steel (CCS) Machines in "Katowice" Steelworks in Dąbrowa Górnicza (Poland), whose main objective was the identification of emission sources of dust and gaseous pollutants, determination of emission factors and assessment of environmental effects associated with the operation of this technology. Particular attention was paid for assessing the impact of the introduction the CCS technology to reduce total emissions from "Katowice" Steelworks.

English title: Impact of the introduction of continuous casting of steel on pollutant emissions from "Katowice" Steelworks.

Związki Siarki Emitowane Z Procesu Wielkopiecowego, Marian Mazur, Marek Bogacki, Robert Oleniacz Dec 1998

Związki Siarki Emitowane Z Procesu Wielkopiecowego, Marian Mazur, Marek Bogacki, Robert Oleniacz

The article describes the problem of the presence of sulfur in the blast furnace process and identifies emission sources of sulfur compounds in this process. On the basis of the measurements and calculations, the types and quantities of these compounds emitted to the air were determined. It was found that pig iron smelting in a blast furnace causes emissions of COS, SO2 and H2S. These emissions occur by losses of blast furnace gas (COS and SO2), transport of blast furnace slag inside the furnace hall (SO2) and treatment of the slag by granulation (H2S). However, the most important are only …

Emisja Związków Fluoru Z Procesów Hutnictwa Żelaza, Marian Mazur, Marek Bogacki, Robert Oleniacz Jun 1998

Emisja Związków Fluoru Z Procesów Hutnictwa Żelaza, Marian Mazur, Marek Bogacki, Robert Oleniacz

Robert Oleniacz

The paper presents the results of a comprehensive study of issues related to emissions of fluorine compounds from ferrous metallurgy processes carried out over the last few years. As part of this study raw materials used in these processes were analyzed in terms of fluorine content and its impact on the amount of air emissions of fluorine compounds. Also determined by measuring the concentration levels and emissions of fluorine in the gaseous and solid phase, including water-soluble compounds (considered to be toxic).

English title: Emissions of fluorine compounds from the processes of ferrous metallurgy.

Wpływ Komponentów Alkalicznych W Procesach Spiekania I Wielkopiecowym Na Technologię I Emisję Zanieczyszczeń, Marian Mazur, Ryszard Benesch, Andrzej Łędzki, Robert Oleniacz Nov 1996

Wpływ Komponentów Alkalicznych W Procesach Spiekania I Wielkopiecowym Na Technologię I Emisję Zanieczyszczeń, Marian Mazur, Ryszard Benesch, Andrzej Łędzki, Robert Oleniacz

Robert Oleniacz

The paper presents the impact of alkali metals on sintering and blast furnace processes and air pollutant emissions including particulate matter. On the basis of the balance calculations, it was found that the main source of alkali (Na2O and K2O) in the sintering process is a raw mixture unweathered. The calculations showed that the level of dust emissions from the sinter strand to a large extent depends on: the total alkali content in a mixture of sinter, ash content in coke breeze, K2O concentration in coke ash and alkalinity of the produced sinter. Alkali metals are introduced into the blast …
