Geomechanical Study Of Rock Properties In The Kafr El-Sheikh Formation At Sapphire Field, West Delta Deep Marine, Egypt, Moustafa Mohamed Ahmed Attia, Ali El-Sayed Farag, Mahmoud Y. Zein El-Din
Al-Azhar Bulletin of Science
Numerous challenges were encountered during the drilling operations conducted at the Sapphire oilfield. Instances of stuck pipe, wellbore instability, breakouts, and washouts have been documented in many wells within this field, resulting in unproductive time and additional expenditures. To mitigate these challenges, it is important to conduct a one-dimensional geomechanical model to get a viable resolution. This entails the creation of three primary in situ stress profiles and the assessment of mechanical characteristics of the geological formations. The primary focus of this investigation was to ascertain the mechanical characteristics of the rock. Therefore, this work offers great input while building …

Al-Azhar Bulletin of Science
In Ubiquitous Computing and the Internet of Things, the sensing and control of objects involve numerous devices collecting and transmitting data. However, connecting these devices without fostering collaboration leads to suboptimal system performance. As the number of connected sensing devices in Internet of Things increases, efficient task accomplishment through collaboration becomes imperative. This paper proposes a Data Collector Selection Method for Collaborative Multi-Tasks to address this challenge, considering task preferences and uncertainty in data collectors' contributions. The proposed method incorporates three key aspects: (1) Using Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process to determine optimal weights for task preferences; (2) Ranking data collectors …

Combating Financial Crimes With Unsupervised Learning Techniques: Clustering And Dimensionality Reduction For Anti-Money Laundering, Ahmed N. Bakry, Almohammady S. Alsharkawy, Mohamed S. Farag, Kamal R. Raslan
Al-Azhar Bulletin of Science
Anti-Money Laundering (AML) is a crucial task in ensuring the integrity of financial systems. One keychallenge in AML is identifying high-risk groups based on their behavior. Unsupervised learning, particularly clustering, is a promising solution for this task. However, the use of hundreds of features todescribe behavior results in a highdimensional dataset that negatively impacts clustering performance. In this paper, we investigate the effectiveness of combining clustering method agglomerative hierarchicalclustering with four dimensionality reduction techniques -Independent Component Analysis (ICA), andKernel Principal Component Analysis (KPCA), Singular Value Decomposition (SVD), Locality Preserving Projections (LPP)- to overcome the issue of high-dimensionality in AML data and …

Graph Neural Network Guided By Feature Selection And Centrality Measures For Node Classification On Homophilic And Heterophily Graphs, Asmaa M. Mahmoud, Heba F. Eid, Abeer S. Desuky, Hoda A. Ali
Al-Azhar Bulletin of Science
One of the most recent developments in the fields of deep learning and machine learning is Graph Neural Networks (GNNs). GNNs core task is the feature aggregation stage, which is carried out over the node's neighbours without taking into account whether the features are relevant or not. Additionally, the majority of these existing node representation techniques only consider the network's topology structure while completely ignoring the centrality information. In this paper, a new technique for explaining graph features depending on four different feature selection approaches and centrality measures in order to identify the important nodes and relevant node features is …

In this paper, based on Goodyear's time transformation formula, we used a set of modified universal functions to construct the minimum distance function between any two celestial objects. We determined the distance between objects in space under a specific time constraint. We used the continued fractions method for quick convergence of the distance function. We used the inverse series to obtain a first initial guess to solve the convergence equation. Furthermore, the Lagrange multiplier method was used to determine the minimum distance between the two objects under the specified time constraint. We constructed an algorithm and applied it with the …

A Numerical Approach To Solve The Initial-Value Problem Of Two-Body With Universal Variable, Ahmed B. Yassen, Waleed N. Ahmed, Ahmed H. Ibrahim, Abdelaziz A. Bakry, Hany R. Dwidar
Al-Azhar Bulletin of Science
The solution of the initial-value problem of two-body gives inaccurate final state predictions for the orbital motions of artificial satellites. This is due to the presence of singularities and the poor selection of variables. In the current study, we numerically investigated the initial-value problem using the universal anomaly approach. To clarify the problem under concern, we carried out several numerical examples using a homemade software package. We considered five space missions, around the two planets Earth and Venus, which represent circular, near circular and ellipse orbits. We showed that the universal anomaly approach facilitates the numerical and analytical treatments of …

This manuscript displays the vibrations reduction of a clamped- clamped micro-beam subjected to an excitation external force via applying the positive position feedback (PPF) controller. The approximate solutions of the whole system are obtained up to the second order approximation with the help of the multiple scale perturbation technique (MSP). The Stability analysis is studied by utilizing the frequency response equations near the simultaneous condition .Time histories and response curves figures before and after control of the whole system are examined numerically using Rung-Kutta Fourth-order method (Maple(16) software and Matlab 7.7(R2014) software. Numerical results of the influences of different parameters …

A condensation between 2-sulfanilamidopyrimidine and a p-toluidine dimer of cyclodiazadiphosphetidine resulted in the formation of a new ligand, 2,2,4,4-tetrachloro-1,3-di-[p-tolyl]-2,4-di-[N-(pyrimidin-2-yl) benzenesulfonamide]-1,3,2,4-diazadiphosphetidine, (H2L). We investigated the chemical behavior of the newly prepared ligand was investigated by treating it with some chosen metal ions at a stoichiometric ratio of 1:2 (L:M), where M = Fe(III), Fe(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), and Ag(I), to provide colored complexes with accepted yields. Then, we characterized the ligand and related complexes using spectroscopic and analytical techniques. Investigations revealed that the geometrical structure of the complexes was octahedral, except for the silver complex was tetrahedral. From the spectral analyses, …

A total of eleven superdeformed rotational bands (SDRB’s) in the A=190 mass zone were described in the framework of a novel proposed simple phenomenological rotational formula as outcome of collective model. The proposed model contains the original pure rotation limit AI (I+1) plus perturbation term proportionate to the cubic power of the spin I. The bandhead spins and the model parameters were selected by a best fit method, utilizing a computerized search program to obtain best match between experimental and calculated transition energies. The spin propositions are mostly consistent with the findings of earlier works. The calculated gamma-ray transition energies …

Al-Azhar Bulletin of Science
In the current work, the role of tungsten ions on the structural and optical properties of sodium borosilicate germinate glass with the composition [70 Na 2B4O7e15 SiO2e(15-x) (Ge2O3) e x (WO3) while, x ¼ 0,2,4, 6, 8 mol %] were studied. Fast quenching method were used to prepare the glass samples. Experimental and empirical density results confirm the amorphous nature of the prepared samples. Fourier transform infrared, FTIR, results showed N4 decreases as WO3 increases. These results suggest that the decreasing in non-bridging oxygen (NBO), back conversion BO4 to BO3, occur by the increase of WO3. Optical band gap show …
