The sustainability of groundwater equipment systems is not well addressed in the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries (GCC). The typical technology practiced in the GCC is the borehole pumps coupled with asynchronous motors. This thesis is evaluating the sustainability of various alternatives for groundwater equipment through the three pillars of sustainability.
