The exclusive electroproduction of π + above the resonance region was studied using the CEBAF Large Acceptance Spectrometer (CLAS) at Jefferson Laboratory by scattering a 6GeV continuous electron beam off a hydrogen target. The large acceptance and good resolution of CLAS, together with the high luminosity, allowed us to measure the cross section for the γ * p + process in 140 (Q 2, x B , t) bins: 0.16 < x B < 0.58, 1.6 GeV2 < Q 2 < 4.5 GeV2 and 0.1 GeV2 < −t < 5.3 GeV2. For most bins, the statistical accuracy is on the order of a …

Inclusive electron scattering off the deuteron has been measured to extract the deuteron structure function F2 with the CEBAF Large Acceptance Spectrometer (CLAS) at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility. The measurement covers the entire resonance region from the quasielastic peak up to the invariant mass of the final-state hadronic system W similar or equal to 2.7 GeV with four-momentum transfers Q2 from 0.4 to 6 (GeV/c)2. These data are complementary to previous measurements of the proton structure function F2 and cover a similar two-dimensional region of Q2 and Bjorken variable x. Determination of …

The neutron longitudinal and transverse asymmetries A1n and A2n have been extracted from deep inelastic scattering of polarized electrons by a polarized 3He target at incident energies of 19.42, 22.66, and 25.51 GeV. The measurement allows for the determination of the neutron spin structure functions g1n (x,Q2) and g2n(x,Q2) over the range 0.032 of 2 (GeV/c)2. The data are used for the evaluation of the Ellis-Jaffe and Bjorken sum rules. The neutron spin structure function g1n(x,Q2) is small and …
