Neogene Drainage Reversal And Colorado Plateau Uplift In The Salt River Area, Jordan Curtis Anderson

Earth and Planetary Sciences ETDs

The modern Salt River flows southwest from the Colorado Plateau, through the Arizona Transition Zone and into to the Basin and Range. Rivers in this area flowed northeast during the Paleogene from the Laramide Mogollon Highlands into structural basins of the topographically lower southern Colorado Plateau area.
