The mechanism of creation of electron-hole trapping centers in CaSO4 at 15-300 K was investigated by the methods of vacuum-ultraviolet and thermoactivation spectroscopy. It is shown that electron-hole trapping centers are formed upon trap of electrons in the anionic complexes SO2. and localization 4 of holes in the form of SO. radical. Based on the measurement of the spectrum of excitation of 4 long-wavelength recombination emission at 3.0-3.1 eV and 2.7 eV, the energy distance of the formed electron-hole trapping centers was estimated (4.43 eV and 3.87 eV).

The synthesized SrSO4 crystalline powders were irradiated at photon energies from 6 . 12 eV, in the temperature range from 15 . 300K. The investigationwas carried outbythe methodsof atomic absorp tion, luminescence and vacuum ultraviolet spectroscopy. In thepresent work, the emission and excitation spectrain Li2SO4-Cu crystalshave been obtainedby the methods of vacuum-ultraviolet and thermoactivation spectroscopy. We have studied the nature of emission from a pressed and annealed sample of Li2SO4-Cu powders. It has been revealed that at low temperatures Cu0-SO. -centers are formed during the trap of electrons by Cu+ -centers and during 4 localization of SO. 4 -radicals in the form of localized hole centers.

The mechanisms of creation of electron-hole trapping centers in LiKSO4 have been investigated by the methods of vacuum and thermal activation spectroscopy. It is shown that electron-hole trapping centers are formed during the trappingof electronsbyanionic complexes and localizationofa holein the lattice in the form of the radical SO. . The appearance of phosphorescence at 3.0-3.1 eV, 2.6-2.7 eV and 2.3-2.4 4 eV confirms the creation of electron-hole trap centers.

The nature of the impurity emission center and the energy transfer mechanisms from intrinsic electronic excitations to the Mn2+ impurity centers in the CaSO4 . Mn crystal have been investigated. The methods of vacuum ultraviolet, atomic absorption and luminescence spectroscopy are used in a wide temperature range from 5 K to 300 K. The energy transfer of intrinsic electronic excitations to impurity emission centers in CaSO4 . Mn has been detected.
