Gis-Based Analytical Hierarchy Process, Weight Of Evidence And Logistic Regression Models For The Landslide Susceptibility Predicting In Echorfa Region (Northwestern Of Algeria), Zine El Abidine Roukh, Abdelmansour Nadji

Bulletin of the Mineral Research and Exploration

The main objective of this study is destined to combine the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), Weight of Evidence (WOE), Logistic Regression (LR) methods and geographic information system (GIS) to predict landslide susceptibility of the Echorfa region (northwestern of Algeria). Nine factors such as slope, aspect, lithology, distance to faults, lineaments density, distance to the streams, precipitations, land use and altitude are included in landslide susceptibility evaluation process. A detailed landslide inventory map was established by satellite images and filed surveys. Three landslide susceptibility maps are established using the different statistical models. Five landslide susceptibility categories are generated by the GSI …

Morphological Parameters Causing Landslides: A Case Study Of Elevation, Seda Çellek Aug 2020

Morphological Parameters Causing Landslides: A Case Study Of Elevation, Seda Çellek

Bulletin of the Mineral Research and Exploration

The history of landslide susceptibility maps goes back about 50 years. Hazard and risk maps later followed these maps. Inventory maps provide the source of all these. There are different parameters selected specially for each field in the literature as well as parameters selected because they are easy to produce and obtain data. This study tried to research the effect of elevation on landslides by reviewing the literature in detail. The used class ranges and elevation values were reviewed and applied to map sections selected from Turkey. By analyzing the results, the goal was to determine at which elevation ranges …

The Relationship Of Landslides With Lithological Units And Fault Lines Occurring On The East Anatolian Fault Zone, Between Palu (Elazığ) And Bingöl, Turkey, Vedat Avci̇, Murat Sunkar Dec 2018

The Relationship Of Landslides With Lithological Units And Fault Lines Occurring On The East Anatolian Fault Zone, Between Palu (Elazığ) And Bingöl, Turkey, Vedat Avci̇, Murat Sunkar

Bulletin of the Mineral Research and Exploration

In this study, the relationship of landslides with lithological units and fault lines on the East Anatolian Fault Zone (EAFZ) between Palu (Elazığ) and Bingöl, was evaluated. In the study area, which is located within the EAFZ, Göynük to the northeast, Palu Segment to the southwest, Genç Segment to the south of Bingöl plain and Gökdere Uplift in the intersection area form the main tectonic structures. In addition, the Karakoçan Fault Zone (KFZ) cutting the EAFZ in NW-SE direction between Palu and Bingöl corresponds to another important structure (system). The area, which is located in a region where a number …

Slope Instability In Open Pits And An Example Of A Retrospective Analysis: Afşi̇n-Elbi̇stan-Kişlaköy Open Pit Coal Deposit, İbrahim Akbulut, İlker Çam, Tahsin Aksoy, Dinçer Çağlan, Tolga Ölmez Dec 2013

Slope Instability In Open Pits And An Example Of A Retrospective Analysis: Afşi̇n-Elbi̇stan-Kişlaköy Open Pit Coal Deposit, İbrahim Akbulut, İlker Çam, Tahsin Aksoy, Dinçer Çağlan, Tolga Ölmez

Bulletin of the Mineral Research and Exploration

The subject of this study is to study the instabilities that have developed in the permanent east and west slopes of the Kışlaköy open pit of the Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. Afşin-Elbistan Linyitleri İşletmesi and to work out the sliding mechanism causing it. In the Kışlaköy open pit to establish if mass movement is continuing and if so which direction it would move, amount of mass to be involved and the failing model. Six movement control observations stations were established along 3 lines in each of west and east slopes. No movement was observed in the west slopes. On the other …
