Despite the rapid development of technology, computer systems still rely heavily on passwords for security, which can be problematic. Although multi-factor authentication has been introduced, it is not completely effective against more advanced attacks. To address this, this study proposes a new two-factor authentication method that uses honeytokens. Honeytokens and Google Authenticator are combined to create a stronger authentication process. The proposed approach aims to provide additional layers of security and protection to computer systems, increasing their overall security beyond what is currently provided by single-password or standard two-factor authentication methods. In this paper, a new physical layer authenticated encryption (PLAE) scheme based on the multi-parameter fractional Fourier transform–Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MP-FrFT-OFDM) is suggested for secure image transmission over the IoT network. In addition, a new robust multi-cascaded chaotic modular fractional sine map (MCC-MF sine map) is designed and analyzed. Also, a new dynamic chaotic biometric signature (DCBS) generator based on combining the biometric signature and the proposed MCC-MF sine map random chaotic sequence output is also designed. One mechanism for ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of information is encryption software. This study collected data in 2008 and 2011 in relation to the level of apparent security of wireless network access points in the Perth CBD. It also compared this data to a comparable study conducted in 2004. The aim was to determine whether businesses were using an appropriate level of encryption to protect their wireless networks. A pre-determined route was followed which traced the Perth CBD and the open source wireless network auditing tool Kismet was used to survey the wireless networks.
