Quantitative urbanism is described as the field of study that explores the social, economic, and physical principles that cities are a product of. This new field of mathematics is quickly growing as various disciplines are attempting to better understand urban growth. This paper will explore the latest discoveries in the relationships that exist between cities and their size. Many aspects of cities, such as crime rates, energy usage, and wealth, have been shown to change exponentially in relation to city size.
