Graphene-Like Secondary-Laser-Etched Polyimide Film Decorated With CuXO Nanocomposites: A Novel Electrode Substrate For Non-Enzymatic Glucose Sensors, Wan-Lin Dai, Zhi-Wei Lu, Jian-Shan Ye

Journal of Electrochemistry

In this work, a novel electrode substrate with graphene-like surface and CuxO nanocomposites derived from secondary-laser-etched polyimide (SLEPI) film was synthesized and applied in non-enzymatic glucose detection for the first time. Characterizations indicate that the as-prepared SLEPI/CuxO film electrode (SLEPI/CuxO-FE) possessed huge surface area, plentiful active sites and excellent electrocatalytic performance. The obtained sensor exhibited the high sensitivity and selectivity for glucose determination with a linear range of 0.05 mmol·L-1 to 3 mmol·L-1 and a detection limit of 1.72 μmol·L-1 (S/N=3), which provides a simple, flexible and low-cost electrochemical sensor for …

A New Nonenzymatic Glucose Sensor Based On The Cuo Nanoplatelets, Yan-Cai Li, Fu-Ying Huang, Shun-Xing Li, Jie Chen, Shu-Qing Feng, Fei Wang

Journal of Electrochemistry

The CuO nanoplatelets were synthesized by hydrothermal method. The structure and morphology of the CuO nanoplatelets were characterized by TEM and XRD. A new nonenzymatic glucose sensor was constructed by immobilizing the CuO nanoplatelets on glassy carbon electrode with Nafion. The electrochemical performance of the CuO/Nafion/GCE for the detection of glucose was investigated by cyclic voltammetry and current-time curve. The experiment results showed that the linear dependence of the sensor was 0.01 to 0.3 mmol·L-1 for glucose with a sensitivity of 1783.58 μA·mmol-1·L·cm-2, and the detection limit of the sensor was 0.80 μmol·L-1 ( …

The Electrochemical Properties Of 1-Pyrenebutyric Acid/Graphene Composites And Their Application In Glucose Biosensors, Min Wang, Jiong Wang, Fengbin Wang, Xinghua Xia

Journal of Electrochemistry

The electrochemical properties of 1-pyrenebutyric acid/graphene composites (PBA/G) obtained by one-step synthesis via π-π stacking was investigated. The electrochemical impedance titration curve shows the surface charge changes as function of solution pH by using ferricyanide/ferrocyanide redox couple as the probe. An apparent pKa value is estimated as 6.2 according to the impedance titration curve. In addition, a glucose biosensor was constructed by immobilizing glucose oxidase (GOD) on the surface of PBA/G via covalent interaction. This biosensor shows a linear response to glucose within the concentration up to 5 mmol L-1 with a detection limit of 0.085 mmol L …

Pre-Oxidative Amperometric Glucose Biosensor Incorporated With Carbon Nanotube And Pbo_(2), Hong-Lan Qi, Cheng-Xiao Zhang

Journal of Electrochemistry

A pre-oxidative amperometric glucose biosensor incorporated with carbon nanotube, ferrocenemonocarboxylic acid and PbO_(2) was designed. The interferences coming from reduced substances, such as ascoribic acid and urine acid were eliminated by PbO_(2).The oxidative current is linear at the potential of +0.40 V(vs.SCE) to the concentration of glucose in the range from 0.50 to 20 mmol·L~(-1),and the detection limit of glucose is 0.1 mol L~(-1).The relative standard deviation is 3.3% for seven successive assays at 5.0 mmol·L~(-1)glucose.This biosensors have been applied to determination of the glucose in serum with satisfying results.
