Introduction: This retrospective study analyses the demographics, clinical features, and comorbidities of patients admitted with COVID-19. The study also evaluates the association of two biomarkers namely D-dimer and CRP (C-reactive protein) with the severity of the infection. Methods: Data of COVID-19 patients admitted from 1 June 2020 to 31 August 2020 was collected based on age, sex, date of admission and discharge, the severity of infection, final disposition, treatment, biomarkers (C-reactive protein and D-dimer), other associated presentations, and comorbidities through a chart review. Background: The only way to remain safe in the current COVID-19 pandemic is by maintaining physical distancing. The current paper is an attempt to justify the use of sensor-based equipment in maintaining social distancing as much as possible during the unprecedented crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic. The need for social distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic has compromised traditional medical education. Educators and students in low-resource settings face diverse challenges in clinical teaching, learning, and assessment. The pandemic has necessitated a rapid transition from traditional pedagogical strategies to virtual platforms.
