Objective: The purpose of this review was two-fold: (a) to understand research findings about Hispanic parents’ beliefs, attitudes, and perceptions related to hearing loss after having children who are deaf or hard of hearing, and (b) to inform future research needs that could expand audiologists’ ability to provide patient-centered care with this population.
Design: A comprehensive review of the literature was used to identify relevant articles for the review.
Study Sample: Five research articles met the inclusion criteria.

Completion of 3-year pilot Interprofessional Education Program involving graduate students in an Academic Health Science Center yielded pre- and post-program evaluations of attitudes, beliefs, and knowledge of students and faculty. This session offers a description of a program without curricular level changes, presentation of research outcomes, and resulting planned modifications.

The acquisition of emergent literacy skills has become a prominent focus of early childhood education programs in recent years as research has demonstrated the significance of emergent literacy ability in the process of learning to read. The effectiveness of use of varied instructional techniques targeting the emergent literacy domains of phonological awareness, written language awareness, emergent writing, and oral language is well described in the literature.
