Hubungan Antara Sindrom Metabolik Dengan Kebugaran Jasmani Pada Lansia, Prijo Sudibjo, Cerika Rismayanthi, Krisnanda Dwi Apriyanto

Jurnal Keolahragaan

Mechanisms Of Improving The Motor Activity Of Children Aged 6-7 Years Through Initial Gymnastics Classes, Gulhayo Kholboevna Kholboeva

Eurasian Journal of Sport Science

Purpose: Development of motor activity, physical fitness of children by means of rhythmic exercises based on initial gymnastics.

Methods: in the study we used the following methods: pedagogical testing, pedagogical experiment, heart rate monitoring, somatoscopy, mathematical statistics.

Results: As a result of the study, it was found that in children 6-7 years old, on the basis of rhythmic exercises based on initial gymnastics, motor activity increases by 11.4%, and physical fitness-by 11.32%. After the experiment, changes in the statistical reliability of the test results were revealed (p<0.05 and higher, 847 ±0.9, tct =1.55).

Conclusion: In The experimental program in comparison with the traditional program of physical …

Changes In Exercise And Musculoskeletal Symptoms Of Novice Nurses: A One-Year Follow-Up Study, Judith Dianne Pugh, Lucy Gelder, Kylie Cormack, Anne M. Williams, Diane E. Twigg, Margaret Giles, Anthony J. Blazevich

Research outputs 2014 to 2021

Background

Nursing is a high-risk occupation for work-related musculoskeletal disorders and many nursing students have a history of musculoskeletal symptoms.

Aims

To quantify (1) changes in exercise and musculoskeletal symptoms from pre-registration to 12-month registered nurses, and (2) the best predictor of severity of musculoskeletal symptoms from measures of the five physical fitness components and exercise participation.

Methods

In this longitudinal study, August 2013 to April 2015, 62 (55.9%) of 111 nursing students fitness tested completed questionnaires measuring nursing work history, exercise, and musculoskeletal symptoms at baseline and 12 months post-registration.

Findings

Nurses’ exercise participation declined post-registration and 38.0% were …

Impact Of A Summer Nutrition And Physical Activity Intervention To Attenuate Obesity In Urban African-American Youth, Jermaine B. Mitchell, Antonio J. Gardner, Zachary Wahl-Alexander, Ben Schwamberger, Douglas Craddock Jr., Carol N. Agomo, Myia C. Lang

International Journal of Aquatic Research and Education

Improved eating behaviors and daily participation in physical activity such as swimming might abate the likelihood of African American youth becoming obese. Yet many African American youth neither consume the recommended daily servings of nutritious foods nor know how to swim. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of a culturally tailored multicomponent summer intervention to reduce obesity and unintentional drownings among underserved African American youth. Children (n = 145) participated in a three-hour, community-based intervention for four weeks. Measures of children’s attitudes perceived behavioral control, and subjective norms toward swimming, nutrition, and physical fitness were …

International Journal of Exercise Science: Conference Proceedings

Regular physical activity is widely recommended and has many benefits for older adults to maintain health and physical fitness. The excellent exercise program in older adults should include crucial components such as physical fitness and cognitive function. PURPOSE: To determine the effects of dance-based exercise training compared with traditional chair-based exercise on body composition, physical fitness, and cognitive function in the older adults. METHODS: Fourteen older adults (female: 11, male: 3), aged 71.2±8.0 years, were assigned into two groups: dance-based exercise (DE; n=8) and traditional chair-based exercise (TE; n=6). Both forms of exercise training were provided twice a …
