To identify factors associated with increased smoking risks among Kırıkkale University students using a questionnaire. Smoking is a widespread habit in Turkey and a major public health problem in the world. To analyze the frequency and distribution of coronary artery risk factors in the city of Rize and its surrounding areas. Materials and methods: This observational study included 452 patients (333 men, 119 women). In addition to demographic characteristics of the patients, conventional risk factors were also recorded. The patients were grouped according to their ages, gender, and electrocardiographic characteristics. Results: The mean age of participants was 63 ± 13 years and 74% were male. To describe the epidemiology and geographical distribution of congenital heart disease. A retrospective population-based study was conducted using data collected in a large tertiary care hospital in Turkey. Materials and methods: The medical records of 1300 patients with congenital heart disease admitted to the Gazi University Department of Pediatric Cardiology for catheter angiography from 1997-2007 were reviewed. The patients were divided into 7 groups according to geographical distribution, and each group was further divided into 2 groups, for simple (group 1) and complex (group 2) congenital heart disease.
