A study was made of the prevalence of interproximal caries of the mesial of the central incisors which are in the same environment, the incidence of the interproximal caries is generally assumed to be the same. However, this was not found so in every case. The research methodology involved collecting data from x-ray films of the central incisors of 947 subjects. These were 10 to 59-year-old patients at the Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University during 1987-1989.
