The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of eating habits on dental caries status of school children from low socio-economic families. The study was carried out in 2 groups of the compulsory school children aged 9 and 12 years. Each group was comprised of 210, equal number of boys and girls, and normally distributed by accidental quota sampling. Caries status (DMFT) were examined by a dentist whereas the preceding 24 hour dietary consumption was interviewed by a nutritionist.
