Background Data: Spinal chronic subdural hematoma is an extremely rare condition nevertheless it can results in a disastrous neurological status.Purpose: To report a case of dorsal chronic subdural hematoma with acute paraplegia.Study Design: case_report. Methods: Our 61-year-old female patient presented with a one day history of sudden onset of motor weakness in both lower limbs. The patient had previous cerebrovascular ischemic attack two year earlier and combined aspirin (150 mg per day) and warfarin (10 mg per day) therapy was prescribed as secondary prophylaxis since that time. Background: Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive procedure applied to the field of spine surgery since 1990s. Purpose: To explore the feasibility, safety, efficacy, and cosmetic results of thoracoscopy in management of thoracolumbar fractures. Methods: We used both the Thoracolumbar Injury Classification and Severity (TLICS) score and the Load Sharing Classification Score for selection of cases. Background data: The intraradicular penetration of a disc fragment was first reported in 1984 and is much less frequent than the intradural disc herniation. Both types of disc herniation are predominantly found in lumbar spine and rarely in the thoracic and cervical spine. The pathogenesis of lumbar intradural disc herniation is most likely related to dense adhesions between the ventral dura mater and the posterior longitudinal ligament.
